Do Keynesians read history or just make it up as they go?

...It seems to me the latter. Let's look at a time in history when there was a clear cut test between government control and quasi-free market control of the economy. A test of the two is likely something we will never see with this crowd in office; there are too many "moocher votes" in play so it's no matter what is "good" for the country; it comes down to "fairness." Power trumps doing the right thing every day of the week and twice on Sunday in Washington, as we know. Thus, it's the predicament of our age and it doesn't inspire confidence especially when you consider the so-called "opposition" party is missing more than a few manliness genes in its DNA.
