Part II: The Clash of Great Powers - US & China - Seems Inevitable

Part II:  The Clash of Great Powers - US & China - Seems Inevitable

As you know there are many "schools" and theories revolving around international politics.  The theory of "offensive realism" as articulated by John Mearsheimer, in his book, "The Tragedy of Great Power Politics," makes the most sense to me.  Applying "offensive realism" to the US-Chinese great power relationship paints a rather bleak picture of the future.

Mr. Mearsheimer believes a conflict between the US and China is inevitable.  Actions taking place and alliances lining up in Asia, as outlined in today's Currency Currents, seem to be validating Mr. Mearsheimer's expectations.
